"...our absolute favorite planes and favorite pilots. These aircraft are beautifully marked and beautifully maintained. As for the pilots, you won't find two nicer guys than Bob and Chris. Not all pilots actually take the time to talk to the spectators like these two do. Chris and Bob get it."
If you’re going to do anything, make sure you start with a bang, and that’s just how Warbirds Over Long Island started its 2008 airshow season. The Andrews JSOH show is one of the season’s biggest. All branches of the military are represented and it’s their chance to show off their latest hardware. This show truly has it all. There were planes represented from World War II to today’s latest F-22 Raptor.
This show was even more interesting because the pilots and crew of WOLI had to ferry planes and pilots due to schedule issues. It got so complicated at times that I still can’t explain it. Needless to say everyone pulled together and got things done and on time. We really have a great group of people here at WOLI.
